For years these never left the village. The big apples went down the hill; the small ones stayed home, in children’s tiffins. Same trees, same orchards, same morning’s picking — about 40 in a 5 kg box instead of 20. Enough people asked for them that we started packing them.

"They are 75. They still walk to the orchard every morning."
These are the hands that pick your apples. Pratap Chand ji and Bala Devi ji have tended these trees for over 30 years — through good harvests and hailstorms, never once spraying colour or wax onto their fruit.
When you order, their family picks your box by hand at dawn. No warehouse. No machine. Just people who have spent their whole life learning what a perfect apple feels like.
Our apples sometimes have a faint mark, or aren't all perfectly identical in size. Supermarket apples are waxed and colour-sprayed to look flawless under store lights. Ours never are.
That little imperfection? It's how you know nothing was sprayed onto the fruit your family eats.
