The Journey
From a childhood in the orchards, to a mandi that broke our heart, to the box that reaches your door today.
Moment 01 · Childhood
"We worked the whole year. And every year, the same question at home: will it be enough this time?"
"The city gave me skills. But every harvest season, my heart was in Shimla."
Moment 02 · Leaving
Moment 03 · The Mandi
"I stood there with my family's harvest, and a stranger told us what our year was worth. That day, something in me refused to accept it."
"The city taught me how to sell. The hills taught me what's worth selling honestly."
Moment 04 · Orchards Box
Moment 05 · The Mission
"I left these hills once because farming couldn't feed us. I'm not stopping until that is no longer true — for any farmer here."
Join the Mission — Order Your Box"Diesel doubled. Labour doubled. Everything doubled. Only the farmer's price stood still. We exist to change that."
— Amit Palsra, Founder · Orchards Box
The Man Behind the Promise
Amit grew up helping his family in the apple orchards of Shimla. Farming income was too little — so like thousands of farmers' sons, he left for the city and built a digital marketing business from scratch.
COVID brought him home to help sell the family harvest. At the mandi, he watched commission agents price his family's year of work — at nearly the same rate as a decade ago.
Orchards Box is his answer: his city skills, in service of his hills. The farmer earns fairly, and you eat fresh.
"Somewhere in Kinnaur, a farmer picked your apples at sunrise, hoping your family smiles when the box opens. My only job is to not break that promise between his hands and your home."
Our Farmers Are Our Family
These aren't suppliers to us. They're neighbours, uncles, childhood friends — people who taught Amit which apple is ready just by its colour. We sit in their kitchens. We celebrate their harvests. We share their worries when hail comes.
Our promise to them is simple: a fair price, decided together — never by a stranger in a mandi. And our promise to you: every rupee you spend reaches these hands.
When farming pays fairly, something bigger happens —children stay in school, families stay together, and the hills stay alive. That's the society we're quietly building, box by box.
The Story, Continued by Customers
I used to ask relatives from Shimla to bring apples for me. Now I can order anytime. Honestly, it felt like a blessing — the apples were so fresh.
They're purchased directly from farmers, so you can expect them to get fair pay. Quick responses and updates throughout. Recommended!!
The freshest and tastiest apples I've ever had! Much gratitude to the team for making natural Himachal apples available so easily.
One box = a fair price for a farmer, a fresher apple for your family, and one more reason for a farmer's child to stay in the hills. That's not charity. That's just a fairer way to eat.
